I’m sick of the billionaire lifestyle.

I’m sick of f*cking women who are just after my money!

So, I go back to the only place I feel truly safe… grandma’s, my only family.

Just as I started to think I might finally catch a break, grandma announced that she’s going to ‘help’ me find true love — she’s signed me up to a reality TV dating show!

Life is just f*cking great.

My Review

Ohhhh!  I am so loving this book.  Bravo Summer!  Another great book!  Her books just keep getting better and better.  This particular book was so much fun to read.  I could not put it down.  It had such a great story line.  One that really hasn’t been written before.  Look out Bachelor!  You got nothing on Summer Cooper!

Let’s take a look into our story shall we.  Laney is a law student.  All she does is study and work.  Her bff & roomie Tony thinks she needs to experience life a little.  He thinks she is turning into a little old lady too soon.  Man she is only in her twenties.  So he decides to blind side her and sign her up for a dating game show.  She is going to kill him!

Jake is a billionaire.  A hot sexy as sin billionaire who is the owner of his own tech company.  He has just moved into his grandmother’s basement to hide and get some peace and quiet.  He is tired of people hounding him for money.  Especially women.  They throw themselves at him.  They send dirty pictures etc. to entice him to fall in love with him, all because he is rich.  Why can’t he meet a nice girl?  He really doesn’t have much time to date anyway, since he has an empire to run.

Jake’s grandmother thinks her grandson needs a wife and family.  She doesn’t want him to be alone after she leaves this world.  So she blind sides him and signs him up to be a bachelor on a dating game.  What!?!  He really can’t tell his grandmother no, now can he?

rose GIF

Rules of the game, no one will know he is a billionaire.  There are three total bachelors including himself.  The women know there is one billionaire, but don’t know who it is.  This is Jake’s chance to meet a good girl.

On the first night of the game show Jake meets the women who are competing for his attention and love.  When Laney steps out at the top of the stairs, he stares straight into her soul.  He is captivated.  No other girl has caught his attention like she has.  He wants her and only her.  But the producer of the show has other plans for him and Laney is not it.  With his future already in place by the producer, he is destined to lose.  The producer throws all the obstacles she can at him.  Can he find true love?  Or is he destined to follow the plan laid out before him?

This book was absolutely entertaining.  I could not put it down.  The characters were so fun and lively.  I really enjoyed the snarky banter between everyone.  Especially Jake’s gran with her gin!  She is a feisty old lady.  Hilarious to boot!  Tony is Laney’s gay bff and he cracks me up.  He is such a ton of fun.

This story has it all.  Lies, deception, fun and love.  It is like a behind the scenes tour of the Bachelor or that show Secret Princes.  Rich man hiding his wealth to find Mrs. Right.  So much fun!  I really can’t wait to see what new book Summer puts out next.  One of my absolute favorite authors.  She is an amazing writer.  She takes a hot sexy man and turns it into a serious yet entertaining and fun read.  Let’s not forget to mention the hot as hell sex scenes.  Ohh la la!  That Jake can warm my bed anytime. 😉❤️

My Review

Abby just moved in with her friend Jay.   She is hiding a big secret from her.  She is a thief.  She breaks into houses and robs them.  She has to find her next heist son, before the gang come looking.  She is hiding from someone very dangerous.  If she doesn’t find a heist soon someone will tell that person where she is.

She sees the neighbor next door.  He is a good-looking doctor.  She decides to us her charms to get intel.  He is her next job.  When things go bad and she is shot, she doesn’t know how she will get out of the mess she is in.

Ian is a rich and handsome doctor, whom keeps to himself.  But when the neighbor Jay’s petite blond friend moves in next door he notices.  Man does he notice.   Breaks into his house and is shot, he doesn’t know what to do.  Will he call the cops?  Or will he give in to his desires?

Ohh!  The tittle of this book says it all.  That Ian is one dirty doctor.  The chemistry between him and a Abby is downright hot.  Those two can give those Fifty Shades characters a run for their money with all that dominance.  Damn!!!!  I guarantee you this book will make you wet and needing to break out that vibrator.

Not only was this book hot, it was action packed drama filled with loads of thrills.  A definite page turner for sure!  I was so drawn into the story I could not put this book down! I had to know what happened next.  This was such an exciting book.  I highly recommend this book for those lonely nights.  No cozy read here.  Just hot steamy action.

Maybe (Rivers End Romance, #3)

by C.J. Hunt (Goodreads Author)
it was amazing 5.0  ·  Rating details ·  Rating  ·  Review

Three hearts, two birthdays, and one wedding day that no one in Rivers End will ever forget.

Social worker LUCIE KELLERMAN is five days away from the wedding of her dreams. Well, the wedding of her mother’s dreams. Lucie’s just happy that she’s finally doing something her parents approve of, and she’s thrilled that her relationship with her mother has never been better. There’s only one problem: ever since she met bartender Daniel Martinez, she’s been wondering if the life—and the man—she’s about to commit to are the ones she really wants.

In the two decades since his father died, DANIEL MARTINEZ has done the right thing by looking out for his siblings. With such a big, involved family, alone time is a thing of myth, and he’s used to putting himself last. But that’s all about to change. For the first time in his life, he’s going on an adventure all by himself. Eight weeks in Mexico volunteering with a children’s literacy organization. At least that’s the plan, until fate gives him a birthday gift in the form of Lucie Kellerman. Now he has a choice to make. Will he give in to temptation and tell Lucie how he really feels, or stay silent and watch the woman of his dreams walk down the aisle and into the arms of the wrong man?

My Review

In Book 3 we have Lucie a social worker who is preparing for her upcoming marriage to rich boy Ashton.  She is extremely nervous about packing up her life and quitting her job to move in with her fiance’ after they marry.

Daniel is a bartender about to leave in a week to volunteer in Mexico for the summer.  He is ready for a break from the everyday norm of taking care of his large family of 4 brothers, one sister and his mother.

One night he is out celebrating his birthday with his family when the beautiful blonde Lucie catches his eye.  Surprising she is celebrating her birthday as well.  They really hit it off.

On Valentine’s night Daniel is working when Luce walks in.  Lucie is stood up by her fiance’. yet again.  He seems to be distant and she is left to plan every detail of the wedding.  While she waits for her no-show fiance’ she talks to Daniel, who is bartending that eve.  He is so nice and sweet.

Daniel is put in an awful predicament when he sees something that is not right.  Should he tell Lucie?  He really doesn’t want to get involved.  Hell he is leaving in a day.  But when the problem cuts real close to home he is put in a position that he can’t ignore.

With this being the 3rd book in the series I expected to read more about the gang from Rivers End.  I was disappointed that none of the original characters were in this book.  To top it all off this story was shorter than the first two books.  There is a lot of potential to make the story more in-depth, but was not put to use.  Don’t get me wrong the book was a wonderful read and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I wanted more.

The characters in this book are amazing and their story is a page turner.  Maybe if  the story continues it will focus on Daniel’s family.  But I would like to see more from Issac’s family from books 1 and 2.  I really did love those characters as well.

This book did flow nicely and was a cozy romantic read.  It will give you goosebumps with the electricity between Daniel and Lucie.  You will fall in love with their romantic tale.  So grab a glass of wine and curl up by the fire, because this feel good romance will have you smiling.

Tipsy: Rivers End Romance #2

by C.J. Hunt (Goodreads Author)

When old secrets and new passions come home to Rivers End…

LUCAS HEYES is a man with a plan. Move back to Rivers End. Fix his broken relationship with his ex-brother-in-law Isaac MacAllister, and be a good uncle to his niece Sara. Oh, and open Higher Ground–the coffee shop he’s been dreaming about for years. There’s only one hitch: Shannon MacAllister–Isaac’s younger sister–is back in town too, and living across the hall from him. Apparently, his time away did nothing to temper his feelings for her. After what happened five years ago, he’s sworn never to keep secrets from the MacAllisters again. Will Shannon convince him to break that promise and keep what they have between them a secret?

SHANNON MACALLISTER has one wish: to get kissed on New Year’s by a man nothing like her fiancé–make that ex-fiancé–before she tackles a new chapter in her life back in her hometown. She gets her wish. But along with it comes a whole whack of complicated. Her body wants Lucas, but her mind can’t help pointing out that while he’s sexy as hell, he’s a liar, and she’s not about to go back to that place. It’s bad enough that they share a family as well as an apartment building. The MacAllisters went through hell once before because of the Heyes family. Will Shannon trust enough to open her heart and risk trying again?

MY REVIEW

In this book Issac’s sister Shannon is recovering from a bad breakup. So she moves back to Rivers End. Jenna is her new landlord and her new neighbor is enemy #1 Lucas.

Lucas is done running from the mistakes he made when his sister Lauren hurt Issac.  So he decides to move back to his hometown to be closer to Issac and his niece Sara.  He has a dream to open his own coffee shop.  Jenna buying a building then renting him a space and apartment helps Lucas to make his dream come true.

Lucas quickly discovers that the girl he has loved forever is his new neighbor.  Problem is she hates him.  How can he convince Shannon he is trustworthy?  Can she forgive him for past transgressions?

Ok so this is book 2 in the Rivers End Romance series. I have to admit that it had some of what I thought was missing from the first book.  The story is developing more.  It seems as if each book is giving you a tiny bit of the story at a time.  Like pieces of the puzzle falling into place one piece at a time.  Each book tells more about the characters and their bond.  The story is flowing nicely.  Smooth as silk.  Capturing your attention and making you fall in love. You can’t help but become invested and wanting to continue on the journey that is Rivers End.   Let’s see what is in store for the folks at Rivers End in the next book Maybe.

MY REVIEW

In this story Jenna is stopping off in Rivers End for a non Christmas vacation, before the start of her new life without her blog in the city.  She is determined to rest and relax and not spend one thought on the Christmas holiday around the corner.  Upon her stay Jenna falls and hurts herself during a hike.  She is rescued by the resorts owner Lucas.

Lucas is the proud owner a cabin resort in Rivers End.  Lucas runs the resort left to him by his father and he raises his little girl Sara on his own.  When a beautiful guest falls and gets hurt, he has to take care of her.  As time goes on the two develop feelings for one another but try to fight them.  But Jenna has a secret that will put them all in danger.  Will Jenna move on when her time is up?  Will Lucas have a hard time saying goodbye?

I loved the story, but felt it could have had more depth to it.  I felt that the ending was kind of abrupt, cutting the story short per say.  I felt it was a little rushed.  The story had such a great plot to it.  I did feel though as if the author could have added more to the story.  It was almost like it was missing something.

The characters were amazing.  They pull you into their world of romance and you can’t help but fall in love with them.  A quick cozy read.  I can’t wait to see what is in store for Lucas in the next book Tipsy.
