There are some things you just have to deal with. Like your hot as hell college booty call moving in next door with his adorable daughter. The only time we’ve ever gotten along is under the sheets. Old habits die hard because two minutes on my front porch is how long it takes us to bicker. Not that a little fact like that bothers my healthy, eighty-year-old grandmother and roommate who’s determined to see me married before she bites the dust. Unfortunately for me, she’s got her eye set on Cameron Black. She’s barking up the wrong tree. He’s not The One, no matter how much I swoon when I see him with his daughter. I have no intentions of rekindling anything with him—until a rubber spider in my mailbox starts off the mother of all neighborhood prank wars, just like the ones we had in college, and throws me right into his path. One that leads right to his bedroom…

Emma Hart is the freakin’ queen of rom-com everywhere!!! And it shows in her newest book Frenemies. This book was a down right laughing good time. I laughed so hard….just pure sexy fun.

Imogen is an artist and art store owner. She lives with her crazy grandmother and babysits grandma’s erotic book club every week. More like a gossip slash drink social. She is a fun loving beautiful person. Life is good till the man who broke her heart moves in next door.

Mason is a single father. Moving to be closer to his daughter has been a long and rough road. But he finally got it done, now if he can just unpack. What Mason did not expect to see while unloading the moving truck is a blast from his past. The girl he never called.

For Imogen and Mason, their past was never truly a relationship, but more of a booty call. Since they never really got along outside of the bedroom, who could call it more than that. So why after all this time would things be any different.

Hating each other has become a game. A game that Imogen plans to win at all costs. Paybacks a bitch in this love and war game for two. Let’s just hope nobody gets hurt from the prank war gone wrong. If you leave up to grandma they will be married off in a week! Can’t mind her own business, that one.

Will our two love birds put aside differences and actually become friends or something more? Well you will just have to pick up a copy and find out.

Overall this book is a barrel of fun. With snarky comebacks and devious intentions, this book is sure to keep you on your toes or have you dying from fits of laughter. Let’s not forget the hot sexy factor….Mason. Mmmmm Mmmm that man is hot!!! Him and his co-star Imogen are a hot commodity and hilarious to boot. You are guaranteed to be entertained. The air in the small room feels heavy, like all the oxygen was sucked out of it. He’s a hurricane catching me in the eye of the storm, giving me a false sense of security before the winds pick up again. A catastrophic and relentless disaster in the making.

How I feel about him is messy. It doesn’t fit nicely into checked boxes or a pros and cons list. I struggle to understand my conflicting emotions, which ends up pissing me off more. Part of me wishes he could commit to trying a real relationship while another part of me thinks he’s not even worth the trouble.

His tongue takes the opportunity to invade my mouth and stroke against mine, a relentless exploration demanding everything from me. He tastes like mint and champagne, a shockingly wonderful combination.

Are you an adrenaline junkie? If you answered yes to this question, then I have got the book for you. Throttled is the first book in the new Dirty Air series by Lauren Asher. I have to say this book is an action packed hot as hell romance. With amazing characters and set in the fast paced F-1 racing world, this series is sure to become a favorite.

Glass Half Full
Katia Rose
(Barflies, #2)
Publication date: January 8th 2020
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Contemporary, Romance

You win some, you lose some.

Back at home with half a college degree after the fiasco of the century sent her packing, it’s safe to say that Renee Nyobé is losing some. She’s a hot mess, and not the cute kind. No, if hot messes had categories, hers would be ‘littering the stairs of the metro station with your sweaty underwear because you were too busy rushing to the job interview you’re already late for to zip up your yoga bag.’

A job—any job—is just what she needs to get her life back on track, and it might as well be at Montreal’s most famous dive bar, Taverne Toulouse.

Dylan Trottard is winning some. As Taverne Toulouse’s new manager, he’s got one rule for himself: don’t screw up. Following that rule gets a lot harder when the woman he’s spent the past three years trying to forget starts working behind the bar.

They were never supposed to want each other, and they sure as hell aren’t supposed to want each other now. She’s the girl that got away before he even had her, and he’s the guy she didn’t think would ever give her a second glance.

Now they can’t keep their eyes off one another, and the stakes are even higher than before. There’s a lot to lose, but as the pull between them gets harder and harder to ignore, Renee and Dylan start asking how much winning is worth.

Glass Half Full is part of the Barflies series, a set of standalone romantic comedies that chronicle the lives and loves of the staff at a Montreal dive bar.

Goodreads / Amazon

“I always wondered something,” she continues when it’s clear I can’t speak. “That night, did you…Were you…Did you want to kiss me?”

I wanted to do more than kiss her. I wanted to breathe her in. I wanted to inhale her.

“It would have been a bad idea,” I manage to get out through my clenched jaw. She’s staring up at me through those damn eyelashes, and all I can think about is her mouth, her neck, that inch of her gorgeous bare shoulders I can see before they meet with the edge of her coat.

“I’m glad you didn’t.”

Everything grinds to a halt.

Shit, shit, shit.

“I’m glad you didn’t,” she repeats, “because I wasn’t ready for you to kiss me then, not like I am now.”

Taverne Toulouse is back again and bringing people together in this next book Glass Half Full. And I got to say Katia Rose has done it again and we readers are falling in love all over again.

Dylan and Renee’s story is quite the romance. Young girl with a crush on an older man. Only to be separated and brought back together unexpectedly.

Renee is a wonderful girl with a beautiful mind. But her mind is ripped apart and she loses something that means so much to her. Her voice. But as always, Taverne Toulouse works it’s magic and she may just find her voice again.

Dylan is a wonderful guy. He is smart and easy going. He is definitely a people person and many respect him. Being the newly appointed manager at Taverne Toulouse may be more than he bargained for. There is plenty of passion in Dylan and I believe that he just needs to discover it.

Together Dylan and Renee discover there is more to life than what hands they have been dealt. They only have to reach out and grab it. It is not an easy road, but together they can shine.

If you are a fan of Katia Rose then you will continue to be with this book. She has a wonderful way of creating and developing beautiful characters that draw you into the story and hold your attention. Her characters are very relateable and once you are hooked there is no turning back. Bravo Ms. Rose! Another beautiful romance for the books.

Author Bio:

Katia Rose is not much of a Pina Colada person, but she does like getting caught in the rain. She prefers her romance served steamy with a side of smart, and is a sucker for quirky characters. A habit of jetting off to distant countries means she’s rarely in one place for very long, but she calls the frigid northland that is Canada home.

If I was going to be his fake girlfriend I was going to take advantage and feel him up at every opportunity. “So, what kind of girlfriend perks do I get? Dinners?” “Sure.” “Walks in the park?” “Uh huh.” “Orgasms?” I couldn’t stop myself from asking. It had been over two years for me and I was getting tired of my vibrator. I was mainly joking, but if he said yes, I could be persuaded. I’d never denied being physically attracted to him. I knew with our chemistry the sex would be off the charts. He was quiet and a little shy socially but he was always confident when we were alone. I couldn’t help think of how he’d be in bed. He didn’t answer. Had I gone too far? I lifted my head from his chest and pulled back to see his face. “I was totally joking. Obviously there’d be no orgasms. Fake orgasms—yes. Real—no.” “Stop saying orgasms.” He kept his eyes trained above my head. I looked at his cheeks which had turned pink. “Are you embarrassed?” It wouldn’t be the first crazy thing I’d said in public that embarrassed someone. Maybe I was talking too loud. Then he used the hand on my back to pull me tight against him so I could feel his erection. “Sawyer,” I practically groaned shocked I’d had this impact on him. His hand drifted lower until his pinky finger rested over the swell of my ass. If he hadn’t before, he now knew I was bare under this dress. “Your pretty red lips keep saying that word, your perky breasts are ready to pop out of that dress, and I’m almost positive you aren’t wearing panties.” His hand stroked dangerously lower over my ass. “You’re driving me crazy. So unless you want me to pick you up and carry you out of here to show you how you affect me, stop talking about sex.”

I think this may be my favorite of this series yet. I really felt connected to the characters in this book. I have followed along with the series from the start and watched it grow and develop.

Stella is the last single lady in the group. She is loud, out going and all around fun girl. She works at the paper and is well respected in the town. But she is lonely. Having grown up filling in for an absent father and a depressed mother she was easily faded into the back ground. She feels lonely at times and uses her bold and loud personality to hide this feeling. Worried now that her friends are engaged and moving forward with life, she feels she may be forgotten again, just like the men in her life. Cheaters!

Sawyer a professor, is straight laced and quiet. He prefers to be orderly and follows the rules. He is good looking and voted sexiest professor every year.

Stella tries to drum up business for the paper by running a online poll on internet dating and even decides it is time to start dating again. Being on campus and working around Sawyer is hard. Her attraction grows by the minute. But soon the story develops into a scandal and could jeopardize Sawyer’s job. How can she do the right thing and still win?

I absolutely love Sawyer. He definitely rocks that hot sexy professor well. He has the most perfect personality and I enjoyed reading the story of his and Stella’s relationship. In this book we really watch the two of them grow and shine brightly.

Overall this book was an amazing read. It is full of life lessons and hard times. It shows that loving someone can really bring someone out of their shell and cause them to truly live for the first time. A love that is so true and beautiful, you can’t help but be drawn into the story. This book is a beautiful and sweet romance. A inspirational read that is sure to give you hope.

Lea Coll worked as a trial attorney for over ten years. Now she stays home with her three children, plotting stories while fetching snacks and running them back and forth to activities. Mason Carlile loves his career as an explosives expert for a secret government agency. The danger, intrigue, and complexities of his job make him a valuable asset. Delivering on his commitment to the Agency may be impossible, though, since he’s wanted by the local police for murder. Hana Moore lives a quiet, creative existence as a struggling painter. When her home is invaded by a mysterious man supposedly running from the police, her world is turned upside down. Completely freaked out, she struggles to reconcile her fear of her captor with some sense of normalcy, as he hides out in her home and disrupts her everyday life. Even though she knows he’s not what he seems, Hana can’t help feeling safe with him, and finds herself wanting to help.
Both captor and hostage are careful to draw the line between what they want and what they must do. But sometimes, the heart has other plans.

Oh my! This book was my absolute favorite in the series. I love Mason. His whole personality just drew me in. He is sweet, yet dangerously handsome. He is a natural flirt and laid back. He is your man when you want the job done right. I am so in love with Mason, in case you have not figured it out yet. “wink wink”

Hana is a very quiet and reserved person. She really doesn’t stick up for herself. Even her landlord is a menace to her. She keeps to herself and paints. But her life changes dramatically when Mason shows up.

Overall this book kicks butt! It has top notch energetic characters. Hot chemistry and danger to get your adrenaline running at full speed. This book is the perfect read to get the imagination going. It is sure to entertain for hours. If you don’t love Mason then you really need to read it again. I appluade Nikki for her excellent book writing skills.

This book was a fast paced story. It was full of mystery and action. Never a dull moment for this read. I could not put the book down. I was addicted from the very first chapter. I honestly believe that Mason and Hana were the perfect characters, built to draw the readers in with their hot chemistry. These two truly are the best couple in this series.

For as long as she can remember, Nikki Rose has enjoyed writing stories. For years, writing was just a hobby for this South Carolina native. It was a way to let out all the stories floating around in her head. After one of those stories took on a mind of its own, outgrowing even the parameters of a single book, Rose knew she had to pursue her dream.
Married to her high school sweetheart and best friend, Rose feels she is truly living out a romance story of her very own. As a stay at home mom of two, she is blessed with the time needed to work on her writing career full-time while her kids are at school or in the wee hours while normal people sleep. She considers herself a music-obsessed chocoholic and hopeless romantic who enjoys weaving romance stories with a healthy dose of mystery and suspense.
