A perfect gift that captures the spirit of the season, USA Today bestselling author Nancy Naigle’s A Heartfelt Christmas Promise celebrates the holidays, small-town traditions, and the generosity of love between two lost souls who find everything they ever wanted in each other.

Vanessa Larkin was supposed to be spending Christmas in Paris, France on a business trip she hoped to enjoy as a working vacation. Instead, she’s been assigned to Fraser Hills, North Carolina—home of the Best Fruitcake in the USA—to convert her company’s property into warehouse space and shut down Porter’s, the fruitcake factory. Offering retirement packages and selling locals on new job opportunities may not spread holiday cheer, but Vanessa believes she’s helping secure the town’s future.

Mike Marshall’s family founded Porter’s. For decades, the factory served as the lifeblood of the community until his grandfather sold the business to a Chicago corporation. The sale cost the town its independence—and the Marshalls their family ties. A horse farmer, Mike was never involved with his grandfather’s company, but still felt Fraser Hills lost part of its identity. And as a widower raising a teenage daughter, he’s suffered enough losses in one lifetime. News of the factory’s closing means losing another piece of the town’s legacy.

Far from the skyscrapers and rapid pace of the city, Vanessa finds herself enjoying the easygoing rhythms of rural living. With Mike as her guide, she learns to appreciate the simple pleasures found in shared holiday festivities among friends. Fraser Hills is a town she is growing to love—and Mike is someone she is falling in love with. Now all Vanessa needs is a Christmas miracle to give her newfound friends and home a gift they’ll cherish for many New Years to come.

Have any of your books been considered for Hallmark movies?

Yes! Not only considered, but made into Hallmark movies. Christmas Joy and Hope at Christmas are both airing now. I was also contracted by Hallmark to novelize the first three Christmas in Evergreen stories. You can imagine how much fun it was being the voice for that wonderful and heartwarming series. I also had two other books made into Hallmark movies. The Secret Ingredient starring the Erin Cahill, Brendan Perry and Maneet Chauhan, and over the summer Sand Dollar Cove premiered.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I find that having good life balance is the best way to stay inspired with fresh story ideas. Not a day goes by that I’m not touched with something unique and fun to spice up my current work-in-progress.

What do you have in the works currently?

I have two new women’s fiction coming out in 2022. WHAT REMAINS TRUE (May 3, 2022) revisits Antler Creek which was the town that my Christmas book Christmas Angels was set in. I love everything about that small mountain town from Main Street to the Barn Quilt Tour. It’s an uplifting novel about new beginnings disguised as failed plans and the joy of falling in love all over again. Then in the fall, THE WEDDING RANCH (Sep 2022) brings two people resigned to being alone together in a series of mishaps and connections at the local wedding venue.

Who is your favorite author?

I might need a journal to list them all lol. Like most authors, I’m a voracious reader and having so many author friends doubles my to-be-read pile. My top one-click authors are probably Debbie Macomber, Nicholas Sparks, Mary Alice Monroe and David Baldacci.

Do you have a favorite reading spot?

On my porch in the sun unless it’s too cold, then I’ll snuggle up in a blanket in my recliner and read the day away.

Where do you prefer to do your writing?

Anywhere as long as there is good lighting, and it’s quiet, which is also probably why I do my best writing at night after eleven o’clock when it seems like the rest of the world is starting to simmer down.

Oh my! What a wonderful and sweet book. “A Heartfelt Christmas Promise” is the absolute perfect read for this holiday season. Nancy Naigle has created the perfect Hallmark worthy romance, just in time for the holiday season. Think the movie “New in Town” with Renee Zellweger and you can imagine this wonderful story.

Vanessa Larkin was sent to Fraser Hills, North Carolina home of the best fruitcake in the USA, instead of Paris, to close a factory. She was in line for the Paris assignment, but her boss needed her to clean up Micky’s botched work.

Upon her arrival to this lovely small town, she begins to realize the huge obstacles in front of her. Little by little the town melts her heart, making her goals change. But can she please the town and her boss?

This book was such a joy to read. It teaches you that in order to obtain great happiness you must have a perfect life/work balance. Take the time and enjoy the little things. Don’t let work overcome you.

The characters are outstanding and beautiful people. Their small town world draws you in and makes you fall completely in love and under their spell. Ms. Naigle did an excellent job writing and creating such a beautiful world and backdrop for this wonderful story.

Overall this book is an amazing read, filled with such joy. It has the perfect combination of characters and feelings written to perfection, creating an amazing romance. A wonderful read to warm your heart this holiday season. The title says it all, A Heartfelt Christmas Promise.
