A Christmas at Gingerbread Falls
Publication date: October 12th 2021
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Holiday, Romance
Actress Carrie Murray’s films are a Christmas lover’s delight. Filled with twinkling lights, festive carols, and happy endings, they’re the perfect escape from reality—for her and the audience. Then Tinseltown calls.
Braxton Timothy is Hollywood’s biggest action star. Handsome and talented but decidedly on the naughty list, no one can fathom his sudden desire to produce a feel-good Christmas movie—least of all, his no-name co-star.
Alternating between scenes reminiscent of everyone’s favorite made-for-TV movies and unexpected, off-screen chemistry, Gingerbread Falls has surprises in store this holiday season. The question is, will there be enough Christmas magic to convince two imperfect people that they’re perfect for each other?
This “sweet as a Christmas cookie” romance (bestselling author Heidi Swain) includes an original recipe for Maple Glazed Gingerbread Scones.
Wow what a unique and sweet Christmas romance.
Carrie is playing the part of Noelle in a Christmas movie along side Hollywood heartthrob Braxton Timothy. He has a reputation of leading ladies moving in and out his door. So Carrie is determined to keep it professional.
Braxton picked Carrie to co-star with for a reason. She is natural and real. He has had a tough time in life and is ready to start living a life full of reality with a family. Little does he know his new co-star has a lot of baggage herself and will not be easy to convince.
Together these two embark on a journey that mixes reality with fake. The fake so close to that reality that the lines blur and get harder to tell the difference between the movie and the real deal.
This story has some deep subjects weaved into it’s beautiful web. The characters are strong, but haven’t overcome the fears from their pasts. These fears hold them back from experiencing all that life and love have to offer. Especially Carrie. She struggles the most throughout the story.
Overall this is a great read that touches on some very sensitive topics. It is filled with fear, faith, trust and love. A Hallmark worthy read yet with deeper issues. The characters are beautiful and the story flowed so perfectly. It was Christmas perfection in the end.
