Most people would probably be embarrassed to land themselves back in their hometown and working at a pizzeria after an ugly divorce.

Not me.
It’s home, and I have one last shot to make Wren Daniels see me as more than just her brother’s best friend.
When the opportunity to show her what’s been right in front of her this whole time presents itself, I take it, holding nothing back this time.
Wren thinks we’re pretending, but there’s nothing fake about the way I feel.
After all, she’s always had…a pizza my heart.
Standalone Brother’s Best Friend Romcom!

Wow! Teagan has done it again. A Pizza My Heart is a wonderful and fun book.

Wren Daniels works two jobs. She runs her own salon by day and by night she is a waitress in her families pizzeria. The first job is her fav and the last job, well if it weren’t for her father running the pizza joint, then she would only do the one. But since her mother passed a few years back and her twin brother is lazy, it is up to her to help out. She has no time to do anything else but work.

Foster is going through a messy divorce and is crashing on his best friends couch, having moved back from California. He has been a part of the Daniels family since he was a kid. But he had to leave it all behind and move to California….to move on. But now he is back and the one thing he ran from is the one thing he is running towards this time. Wren.

When a blast from the past enters Wren’s life, she is shocked and wonders why Foster is back. What happened to his wife? Who is he with? What is he doing here?

Foster has not been in the dating game for a long time. And let’s just say he sucks at it. So he participates in a plan to fake date Wren. Only thing is she doesn’t know he is not faking. Can Foster convince Wren to date him for real?

This book, like so many other books by Teagan Hunter, is full of laughs. I love how all her books contain some form of texting humor between characters. It is the funniest concept ever. The things that come out when people text is so funny, because most the time they are too afraid to say it out loud and so are much braver behind a screen. This makes it all the more fun.

Let’s talk about the characters. Wren is a sassy, straight forward person, who doesn’t really like to socialize. Hence why she hates being waitress so much. She much rather cut hair. She gives as good as she gets and is down to earth all the same. Foster is HOT!!! There is no other way to say it. H-O-T!! He is so sweet, romantic and caring as well. I mean who else would build a private booth out of pizza boxes for you. He has this down to earth personality that people gravitate to. He has this way of talking and convincing you to do the right thing. He is just simply amazing.

Overall this book is fun and full of laugh out loud moments. It will have you in stitches. The characters a fun and engaging. The book is a smooth flowing machine, with a cute story background. It is one of those books that will make you cry, laugh and feel lighthearted all in the same chapter. A perfect romantic comedy for those who believe in fate and destiny. A wonderful read. So break out the cheese stick pizza and curl up with this awesome book. You will be so glad you did.

I’m a Missouri-raised gal, but currently live in North Carolina with my US Marine husband and 9-year-old dog. I spend my days begging him for a cat, and I survive off coffee, pizza, and sarcasm. When I’m not writing, you can find me binge-watching various TV shows, especially Supernatural and One Tree Hill. I like cold weather, buy more paperbacks than I’ll ever read, and I never say no to brownies.

Writing is my passion, and this is just the beginning of my journey.
