9 Bodies Rolling

(Body Movers #9)

by Stephanie Bond (Goodreads Author)

Round and round we go…

Carlotta Wren is still reeling over her parents’ return after a ten-year absence. After putting her life on hold for so long, she’s not sure how to move forward. Her new reality isn’t exactly what she thought it would be, especially considering the altered circumstances of the three men in her life.

Until we all fall down…

But her best gal pal Hannah is always there to cheer her up, and Hannah has taken up a quirky new sport–roller derby! The matches are a colorful spectacle of bodies maneuvering to score, but the fun stops cold when a dead body rolls onto the scene. Carlotta believes the accident is anything but–especially when skaters’ bodies begin to pile up–in and out of the ring! Could Hannah be next?

My Review

I just finished book #9 in the Body Mover Series and I am floored.  So not where I thought it would be going.  When 8 Bodies Is Enough ended with what we thought was Carlotta finally picking one of the three love interests in her life, Coop, I was overjoyed.  But that joy did not last long.

In this story Carlotta and Wesley have their family back plus the new addition of a little sister named Priscilla.  With their father exonerated and their legacy restored life is back to normal.  You would think.  But it is anything other than normal.  Carlotta is having trouble figuring out her new reality.  With Peter in jail, Jack’s upcoming fatherhood and Coop filling in for the doctor at the morgue, Carlotta is trying to get a grasp on her feelings.  Knowing that Jack is unavailable would make this decision easy or so that is what we would believe, but it is not to be.  With the stress of everything Wesley and Carlotta are having trouble adjusting and moving forward.  Book #9 is all about the adjustment and healing old wounds and moving forward.  But can they adjust to the reality of what life has just handed them and move forward towards happiness?

I have been a huge fan of this series for a while and I am so in love with the series.  Not only are the plots fun and entertaining, but they have a unique set of characters that keep us wanting more.  Stephanie Bond has created a wonderful world with her Body Moving Cast.  And just to spice things up a bit, she has revamped our characters and mixed things up a bit.  Each book has more and more surprises in store for the readers and this one is no different.  Which has me biting my nails till the next release.  Let’s hope she writes a new one soon.   She definitely left us hanging with a bunch of what ifs.

Stephanie Bond

Stephanie Bond was several years into a corporate computer programming career when an instructor in her evening MBA program remarked she had a flair for writing and encouraged her to submit a project to academic journals. Stephanie adds, “But instantly I thought ‘I wonder if I could write a romance novel?’ ”

She spent every spare moment the next couple of years writing and submitting manuscripts before selling her romantic comedy IRRESISTIBLE? to Harlequin Enterprises. After selling ten projects, Stephanie walked away from her corporate career to write commercial fiction full time. To date, she’s published over 75 romance and mystery projects with Harlequin, Random House, St. Martin’s Press, HarperCollins, and more recently, under her own imprint.

Stephanie’s independently published romantic comedy STOP THE WEDDING!, a Kindle bestseller in three languages, is now a Hallmark Channel movie! Check local TV/DVR guides for repeat airings.

In January 2018, CBS Studios optioned Stephanie’s independently published COMA GIRL (an Amazon exclusive) for TV series development. Stay tuned for updates!

Stephanie lives in midtown Atlanta and is probably working on a story at this very moment.
