( Bedford Park Brides, #1)
But life can change in an instant …
Moving to Bedford Park is Faith Sorenson’s only hope of escaping her controlling parents and cheating ex-fiance. Vowing to never get involved again with someone she couldn’t trust, she swears off men.
That is until she meets her sexy new neighbor who’s determined to tear down the walls she’s built around her heart. He looks at her in a way she’s never experienced before, a way that sears her soul. Now Faith is beginning to think he might just be worth the risk.
After overcoming a childhood wrought with fear and self-doubt, Ben Reynolds is now a confident, outgoing hunk of a man who longs for a wife and family of his own. Serial dating has not helped him achieve that goal so far. But when Ben lays eyes on the feisty red head next door he’s sure he’s found the person meant for him. Now he just has to prove to her he’s a man she can trust.
Hot nights and a newfound trust have Faith thinking she might get her happy-ever-after. But a twist of fate has other plans, and now Ben must gamble his last chance of happiness on a daring marriage of convenience. Unfortunately, only time will tell if their love is enough to overcome the obstacles life has thrown at them.
My Review | Book 1: Finding Faith
This is the first book in this series and I am hooked. This is a definite must have romance. Faith is tired of everyone controlling her life. Her parents, her boyfriend and friends. After catching her boyfriend cheating she decides she has had enough. She moves to a small town called Bedford Park. Her life is her own now and she has never felt better. She is free to be herself and make her own decisions.
Ben has been eyeing his new neighbor for two months now. When he finally decides to introduce himself it turns out to be a fiasco. Laughing as he walks away thinking he has to have her. Faith is so unsure of him. She is so scared and finds it hard to trust him. Hell she doesn’t trust anyone because of her insecurities from her past.
“I ache for you like an addict craves a drug. I hunger for you like a starving man looking for his next meal, and I need you like a dying man needs air.”
Faith and Ben are magnetically drawn to each other and she realizes she is useless to stop it. She finally gives in and they start dating. Ben is falling in love with Faith and Faith with him. Then tragedy strikes and threatens to tear their new and fragile relationship apart. Can they make it through?
I really enjoyed this book. It is well written with developed characters. I fell in love with the characters. Faith is amazing and strong. She really does overcome her insecurities and fights to take control of her life. Ben is the sweetest and hottest man ever. He is a caring person who puts everyone above himself. He will do anything for anyone, even if it is at his expense.
This story has so much emotion and deep feelings in it. The story is believable and you find that you can relate to it. A bit of a tear jerker at times. I had a little bit of a hard time holding it together. So you best come armed with a box of tissues. You are going need them. I am looking forward to what comes next for the gang of Bedford Park.

(Bedford Park Brides #2)
before you can find true love.
Tess Reynolds has idolized her older brother’s best friend, Connor McCoy, since he came to her rescue in fourth grade. But a young girl’s worship morphs into something deeper, and on the night before he left for college Tess professed her love. Connor never returns those three little words, instead he gives Tess her first kiss, tells her not to wait for him and leaves.
Order and control are the only things Connor wants in his life, it’s how he keeps his loved ones safe. Years ago he learned the hard way that loss of control causes distractions that can lead to devastation. Because he craved Tess with every fiber of his soul, she became his biggest distraction. In order to protect her, he had to keep his distance. But when she ends up at a college only minutes from him, Connor’s restraint snaps and they end up creating more firsts.
Now, years later, they are both back in Bedford Park, and Tess has a young daughter that no one knows Connor is the father of. Secrets they’ve kept from their family and friends are about to be revealed but they both have secrets they kept from each other. Will those secrets destroy what they have? Or will their long history and love be enough to build a trust that will lead them to their happily ever after?
My Review | Book 2: Trusting Tess
So this is book 2 in the Bedford Park Brides series and I am still hooked. I am having a hard time deciding if this is my favorite or not. This book was definitely as amazing as the first book, making the decision hard.
In this story Tess, Ben’s little sister and mother of Hope, runs the town daycare. She has big dreams to expand and is close to making those dreams come true. But she still has a big secret. Who is Hope’s father? She is still refusing to tell anyone until said father is ready to step up to the plate and become a full-time father.
Conner is Ben’s best friend and he is carrying around a secret that could rip their friendship apart. But when Conner is leaving the daycare Hope yells out Daddy! Oh shit! Right!? Tess just happened to be talking to her friend Lacey when it happened. Ooopss! Cat is out of the bag now.
Conner tells Tess they are out of time and they are going to have to tell everyone soon. Well you can guess how that goes? A punch to the face and lots of yelling and walking away. Will they be able to repair all the damage that is done? Or will all the secrets come out and destroy everything including the fragile relationship Conner is building with his daughter?
“I can’t get enough of you, you’re my life, my soul, my everything, and when you touch me I swear my heart stops.”
This book was an extremely emotional read. I did a little bit of ugly crying in this one. I am so in love with the characters of Bedford Park. With each book they develop more and more. Even the past book characters are still developing and evolving. It is amazing.
“I love you with every fiber of my being. You’re my heart, my soul, my comfort, and my home. I need you in my life just the way you are.”
This book really touches on your emotions and pulls at your heart-strings. The trials and tribulations of life that the characters endure are things that make you stop and really think about things that everyday people go through. Things that they hide and are afraid to confront. This particular book really hits on some tough areas. It is heartbreaking. A true testament of the heart and the strength of the human soul. Breathtaking, everlasting love of two wounded souls fighting against the odds. A truly inspiring read. I am looking forward to more stories from the gang at Bedford Park. Think if I beg hard enough Connie Dave` will continue the story.

Connie Davé resides in a small Midwestern town, where she has lived all her life. Growing up she was a tomboy who had a love for all animals, the outdoors and riding horses. In her early twenties her mother introduced her to romance novels and from then on she became a voracious reader and lover of all things romance. For many years she had a secret desire to write her own romance book but never pursued it. After getting married to her own real life hero she continued to read as she raised their two young daughters. Once her kids were older, thoughts of writing her own novel made an appearance again. With the support of her husband, daughters, family, and friends she wrote her first book, Finding Faith. Completing the first novel felt like an awesome achievement but it also opened her mind to many more sensual, small town, happily ever after stories she wants to share.
