Truth or Date (Better Date than Never #2)
Gina Hall is done with men who won’t commit. Ten years waiting for her ex to propose wasted her time. Never again. When her friend Kristen starts a game of Truth or Dare, she dares Gina to go on a date with Ethan, who’s amazing and total marriage material.
As Gina plans the going away party for office playboy Chris Bradley, she spontaneously initiates a game of Truth or Dare with him. When his turn comes around, he dares Gina to pose as his girlfriend to help get a flirty colleague off his back. Gina finds playing couple with Chris way too much fun.
Even though Gina and Chris are pretending, their relationship begins to feel painfully real. Fearing she might be falling for another fly-by man, Gina must focus on Ethan so she doesn’t make the same dating mistakes all over again.
OMG! I love this series. This is the second book in the Better Date Than Never Series and I am in love. I am in love with the stories, the characters, everything! They are such cute and cozy reads. The pull you in and you feel like you are right there with them. They just get better and better with each book. Granted I have only read two but I am definitely ready to read them all.
In this story it picks up with the first book’s, Love at First Date, main characters, Ellen and Henry’s wedding. As the upcoming wedding is kicking into high gear Ellen’s friend Gina is still living with her ex-boyfriend and not happy. When Kristen talks her into taking the next step and becoming her roommate, she jumps on it.
As the story goes on Kristen is trying to get Gina to invite her friend Ethan to the wedding as her plus one. Except Gina is so unsure on if she wants to do that. Chris Bradley, the playboy salesman on the 6th floor of her work, asks her to accompany him to a dinner with his new boss to be. He said just needs a friend so he won’t feel like a third wheel. So Gina agrees to go. As she dates both men she realizes that her heart belongs to one? Will she make the right decision or will she chose the safe one again?
This story was so much fun to read. The banter between Chris and Gina is hilariously funny. I love how we get to revisit Henry and Ellen also. I can’t wait to see who the next book will be about. I am thinking Racheal. These characters are so entertaining and engaging. You will be hooked from the first page and binge reading. The story just draws you in. So if you are looking for a cozy, sweet, romantic read that will make your heart flutter and give your stomach butterflies, then this is right up you alley.
