This is the first book I have read from Eileen Cruz Coleman. I must say that is was a great read with wonderful characters and a life lesson mixed in.
In this book Fin has started out from nothing into something. Now a very successful businessman, he is throwing the party of the year to get back his high school sweetheart, Kelly. Kelly left him when his football career ended in an injury. Hurt and angry, he sets out to prove he is worth it. He is extremely wealthy and wants her to realize she was wrong. Maria works for Fin and has had a secret crush on him for a long time. Fin notices things about Maria that he did not realize. Now Fin must decide what he wants in life, Kelly or Maria? Who is the best pick for him?
I love the characters in this book. They were all very intriguing and funny. I was cracking up at some of the other house staff’s antics. Fin I believe is a little lost in life and maybe lonely. He really has to sit back and evaluate life and what he really wants out of it. Maria is sweet and innocent, shy even. If you are looking for a cozy quick romantic read, then this book is for you. I highly recommend it. Looking forward to more great reads from Eileen.
