I’ve always liked Julia when we were in school but I didn’t realise how much until I saw her again…

Except now, she and everyone else in town seems to be against me… not quite the homecoming I hoped for!

But I don’t care what anyone else thinks.

I don’t care that things have change.

I don’t care that she has a 10 year old daughter now.

I want her… and I’ll do whatever it takes to be with her!

Author’s Note: This is a 20,000-word short story with an HEA. The story contains mature language and themes intended for adults only.

My Review

Well this book is a quick read.  I really wanted to love it, but it was just too rushed for me.  I felt the story had a gapping hole that could have been filled with a wonderful story.  The book had a great base line for a longer story.  The book is not bad.  It was a cute little read.  I just expected more from it.

In this book Eric Kyle is back in his home town.  As a successful real estate tycoon, he is looking to expand his property in his home town and that includes his high school crushe’s bar.

Julia is barely making ends meet at the bar, owned by her family for many years.  She doesn’t want to sell to Eric and she hates him for trying to buy it.

Will the two come to an agreement that will work for both of them?

Like I said, the book is a quick read.  The characters were extremely likeable.  It has some really funny moments and some steamy sex scenes.  I was just disappointed that it was so short and it felt like the story was rushed.  So if you are looking for a daily quickie, then this is the book for you.
