Let’s get this show on the road.

What does my name mean?

My name Patty means several things in different languages.  The American meaning is Lady.  The German meaning is strength in battle.  The Latin meaning is Noble.  But if you look it up in the Urban Dictionary Patty means princess.  (hee hee)  “Stemming from humble ancient roots, it takes its meaning from the Patrician’s. A group of women (from the late B.C. ara), who were not only regal but fought for common beliefs. 
Held on high “peditals” in their communies, they began to evolve into more than “warriors” but as symbols of beauty, strength and someone to be worshiped and respected. Hence the shortening of Patrician into Princess and followed in later years as Patty.” (Urban Dictionary)

But if you want to know how my parents came up with it, then let me tell you.  My mom’s mother was named Pattie.  She died when my mom was 16 years old.  So I was named after her.  My dad told the hospital the wrong spelling for my name, making my mom mad. lol  My mom’s Aunt always spelled it Pattie on my letters and birthday cards.  🙂
