Review Buttons & Pain By: Penelope Sky
Ok, so I loved the book and the way the trilogy ended, but I was disappointed in the editing. There were a lot of missing words, words turned around, and misspelled. I used my imagination to fill in the blanks, so it was not so bad, but a little annoying.
I can’t tell you alot about the book without giving you a lot of spoilers, so here is a tiny run down. In this book Pearl has escaped from the bounty hunters, who are taking her back to Bones, and is now home in America. She now has to start her life over, so the first stop is to the man who started it all her ex. From him she blackmails him for money to start over. So she has a job now, an apartment and then one day she comes home to find buttons on the counter. Crow. He is there to take her back and she is not going. Now she has Crow after her and Bones. Will Pearl ever truely be free?
The book was great. I loved the story from begining to end. With all the writing errors, I almost feel like the author was so wrapped up in the story she was typing away and her editor just failed her. The ending was everything I had hoped for and the book was fast paced and steady. I could not put the book down. I have to only goive it 4 stars though due to all the errors.
When I saw my escape, I took it. Now I’m in New York City and trying to get my life back on track. Despite the tracker in my ankle, Crow hasn’t come for me. He hasn’t even called me. I told him the depth of my feelings but he cruelly rejected them.
Maybe he’s forgotten about me.
One day, I walk into my apartment and spot the pile of buttons on the counter. I never left them there, and there’s only one explanation for their presence.
Maybe Crow hasn’t forgotten me after all.
